Welcome to the South Bethany Budget and Finance Committee website.
The purpose of the committee is to work with the Town Manager and Financial Administrator on topics such as:
Review/evaluate current expenses/revenue
Review/evaluate of each fiscal year
Review schedule of fees/fines
Ongoing review of budget versus expenses
Make recommendations regarding budget
Make final review and recommendation for approval to the Mayor and Town Council
Create and monitor long term planning processes
Evaluate financial situations for input to committees and Town Council
Evaluate the financial considerations of town appointed committee proposals
The committee is comprised of 5 individuals, 2 Town Council Members and 3 South Bethany property owners. The Town Council Treasurer chairs the committee.
Our goal on this website is to make information available on the towns financial position and topics. Our first step is beginning in August 2010 we will initiate the monthly posting of budget versus actual for the revenue and expenses of the town. The posting will occur on or around the 15th of every month thereafter. Additional postings of committee actions and information will be posted on a quarterly basis.
